Following the successful launch of his first book, “Lara and the Wishbeings” he  approached Bavaroise once again to illustrate his second book, “Lara und ihr Beschützer”. This narrative explores the intricate connection between self-regulation, our nervous system, and our perception of the world.

The main character of the story it’s Lara, the same curious seven-year-old girl from the previous book. This time Lara embarks on a journey to understand why she sometimes engages in unwanted behaviors, such as pushing her brother or pulling her friend’s hair. Guided by Sophia, a charming and wise fairy, Lara learns practical exercises for self-regulation and co-regulation in everyday life.

We has accepted the challenge of illustrating 17 pages of this colorful world, bringing Lara’s adventure to life. Some of the task included personifying four animals that represent the nervous system’s responses to both dangerous and safe situations.
